Biographical Notes
Dr Chantal Degril, PhD in Psychology (France), trained as a Lacanian analyst at the Australian Centre for Psychoanalysis (Melbourne). She was a founding member of the Centre for Lacanian Analysis (Auckland) and of the New Zealand Forum of the International School of Psychoanalysis in the Lacanian Field. She is a member of NZAP and of NZIPP and works in private practice in the South Island of New Zealand and in Auckland.
Judi Blumenfeld Hoadley is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist in private practice. She sees adults, couples and adolescents and also offers clinical supervision to a broad range of health professionals. She has for many years been actively involved in teaching and training psychotherapy theory and practice in a number of settings including NZIPP, AUT University, NZAP and the Auckland Psychiatry Registrar Programme. She is a founding member of NZIPP, a former Training Chair of NZIPP and of the PPAA. She currently works in both Auckland and Melbourne.
Tessa Philips practices as a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist in Sydney. She is on the Faculty of the Sydney University Master of Medicine (Psychotherapy) Program and is on the Faculty of ANZAP. She is a past president of NSWIPP and ANZAP and has served on the Board of Directors of International Association of Relational Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis and is a council member of the International Association Psychoanalytic Self Psychology. She has published papers, teaches and supervises. Her prize-winning PhD thesis was titled Race, Place and Self.
Dr Gustavo Restivo is a Clinical Psychologist and Psychoanalyst with a Lacanian orientation. Dr Restivo is a Member of New Zealand Forum of the School of Psychoanalysis of the Forums of the Lacanian Field, current NZIPP Chairperson, and founding member and current director of the Centre for Lacanian Analysis. Dr Restivo trained in Clinical Psychology and in Psychoanalysis in Buenos Aires, Argentina and completed a PhD in the field of psychoanalysis at Auckland University of Technology in 2013. Dr Restivo is author of numerous articles on psychoanalytic theory and practice.
Dr Leonardo Rodríguez is a psychoanalyst; a member of the Victorian Association of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapists; a founding member of the Australian Centre for Psychoanalysis and of the International School of Psychoanalysis of the Forums of the Lacanian Field; Coordinator of the Master of Psychoanalysis program, Victoria University; Coordinator of the Institute for Training, Australian Centre for Psychoanalysis; author of Psychoanalysis with Children (London and New York, Free Association Books, 1999) and numerous articles on psychoanalytic theory and practice published in several languages.
Dorothea Van Hees is a psychiatrist and psychoanalytic psychotherapist working in Brisbane. She is a member of the QPPA and the Brisbane Centre for Psychoanalytic Studies and in both organisations has been involved in teaching.
